To see Miley on the red carpet with her big Dolly Parton style blow out in her custom Maison Margiela, (rumoured to have taken 675 hours of meticulous work to make) was pure gold. Literally.
This metallic half flapper, half Cleopatra get up, made entirely of pins, strategically and intricately placed gave her a "stand out from the crowd" look, ensuring all eyes were on her and this was just the tip of the golden iceberg! This was one of five outfit changes at the awards. Good effort darling! She went on to don a glittery black jumpsuit, a vintage silver flapper-style dress (Bob Mackie), a strapless black lace jumpsuit with a marabou feather jacket, only Miley could wear this, and to accept the Record of the Year, she chose a brown sequined one-shoulder Gucci gown with side slit. I declare Miley the winner of the Grammys 2024.
Olivia Rodrigo was up for six golden gramophones and she came ready! Olivia channelled old Hollywood glamour a vintage Versace dress from the house’s 1995 Spring/Summer collection. The gown was adorned with shimmering silver and pink crystals, and kept her accessories to a minimum, choosing a pair of diamond and ruby earrings to finish the look, which matched effortlessly with her bold red lip. Good for you Miss Rodrigo, good for you.
The original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson opted for the same colour palette / vibe as Olivia in her structured white gown, complete with lapels, which was almost reminiscent of a bridal gown. While the designer is currently unknown, the one thing we do know is she looked 10/10
It appears white was THE colour for the Grammys this year, as Taylor Swift also sported white, but not in the Hollywood Glamour way we had seen on Olivia or Kelly. Taylor accessorized the Schiaparelli Couture dress with long black gloves, very Marylin Monroe, and an elegant black choker, very Audrey Hepburn. This monochrome look from miss Swift ensure all eyes on her.
Honourable mentions go to my girl, Kylie Minogue, who chose to stick with her signature Padam red ensemble, complete with what looked like a chiffon cape, possible hareem trousers, like a sexy genie., Heidi Klum who braved the cold in her cutaway diamond Valdrin Sahiti dress, am I the only one who mistook her for Shakira? Lets not forget Lainey Wilson on her custom Balmain trouser suit, bringing the country vibes.
All in all, the Grammys were a boiling hot mix of sequins, flesh and glamour. The ladies went all out, and who wouldn't want to spice up a dark February evening?
