Eyeliner, fringing & DM’s…
Lets take a second to talk about our favourate fringe, Claudia Winkelman.
With Traitors returning to entertain us over a lacklustre January, not only did the suspense keep us gripped, but part of the allure was tuning in just to see what our girl was wearing…
Claudia's 'haute country' outfits were definately elevated this season and while she channelled what I like to think of as country chic Claudia definately brought out the big guns for season 2. Claudia worked with her visionary stylist, Sinead McKeefry to create these jaw dropping looks with just enough of her signature eccentric twist.
lets dissect a few…
Cloak & gloves combo
Back by popular demand, the combination of the seriousness of the cloak partnered with the playful red gloves had me instantly searching for the sought after hand wear, which was a short search as McKeefry confirmed these are £24.99 on Amazon, although i’m not really sure anyone bar Claudia can pull these off.
THE Saint Laurent cloak
Oh the theatrics of this look! I am so here for it! I do think it resembled her choppy fringe and for me it and had GOT vibes, the knights watch, but the fact that she paired it with her Hunter wellies just finished off this completely OTT look, and she carried it so well! Now , who has £5,135 for me to buy one?
Funeral attire
Of all the various outfits she sported throughout, this one was by far my favourate. I think it was the mix of the masculine tailoring and the ever so goth headwear and signature black make up that drew me to it, paired with her DM’s , I have been massively inspired to re-create this look for work.
Red Mr Mittens jumper
With an olive oversized scarf (a colour combo I have never considered) this became the most googled and sought after outfit of the show. I love the simplicity of this outfit, and what a bold look it became, and I immediately need the Spanx leggings that finished this outfit off.
The Belgian-Australian knitwear brand, sold this jumper for £400, meanwhile, is knitted by independent label Rose & Wül, which creates amazing accessories from the highest quality merino wool if natural fibres are your kind of thing.
In short, CW continues to be a fashion muse for me, I love how unapologetic she is for her love of eyeliner and fake tan, how she isn’t afraid to stand out in the crowd and how she really is in a league of her own. Claudia Winkleman, I will forever be faithful to my adoration of your style.
