This month we are seeing a lot of texture, both on the runway and the high street. Think Faux leather mixed with Boucle, Velvet and Metallics, of every colour. Wyse London do a very luxe collection and I dare you to peruse the website and not find at least 3 things you like.
I would head to Scamp and Dude for an alternative take with Neon’s if you are looking for something a little more alternative. The balloon sleeve foil dresses are so much fun, especially paired with chunky boots.
This is the season to sport oversized coats and chunky boots, and layered dresses for that extra bit of drama.
Colour wise its all gunmetal and gold, mixed although at the beginning of December you couldn’t go anywhere without seeing Royal blue, but as December draws to an end the pastels are on their way back for January, when we all need something softer and perhaps a more gentle transition into the new year.
H&M & M&S have done a fantastic job of lighting up a fire and getting us all excited for party season with their lust over sequins and AD Campaigns, who could forget seeing Hannah Waddingham in that black sequin dress as she obliterated party hats but I have a soft spot for those furry little animals in the TK Max advert who sport festive sweaters.
I have a feeling Christmas 2023 will be about comfort, the ugg slippers have been the top of many wishlists and the skims loungewear, lavish house coats and velour robes will make great comfy attire for the big day. Boux Avenue have some very pretty festive sets and if all else fails good old Next offer a large selection of matching famliy pj’s and as the big day draws closer I am in two minds myself to go for Glam Vs Cosy…I will keep you posted.
